Account Manager

The principle responsibilities of this position are to assist Brokers / Agents with product solutions and customer service issues, while maintaining client data files, supporting specific accounts with administrative, marketing and underwriting resources in working with selected insurance companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide product information, service and support for coverages that may include, but are not limited to Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, ADD, Short & Long Term Disability, Travel Accident.
  • Coordinate product information between broker & carriers.
  • Prepare, market and manage request for proposals (RFPs) to carriers.
  • Create & maintain all files & database for accounts as assigned.
  • Create correspondence with brokers related to renewals, terminations / reinstatements, enrollment materials, booklets, bills and policy changes.
  • Maintain an existing book of accounts while working on new cases.

Professional Profile:

  • Minimum 5 + years in the insurance industry with working knowledge of group employee benefit products
  • Experience of managing client accounts and policy service
  • College degree and insurance related designation preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, word, excel
  • Resume / salary history - must be provided for consideration
